any ttdi traders here please find out what happened to our signatures in support of TTDI market? Apparently it was given to this 'ikhlas' group. I don't see how this man who should be going to an official/office to protest instead of displaying thuggish behaviour in front of a private home, is good for ttdi market. Please question the traders what happened to our signatures, and databases collected by them.

If redevelopment was the original plan why didn't the authorities say so. The Minister is staying in TTDI and he was mum and the idea to sell it to a developer was not actually refuted. What is the game plan.Who goes to market at night and what is this gimmick about 24 hours marketing . If the idea is to improve the market by imroving the conditions than by all meas say so and no one will want to object but if it is a ploy than dont count on support. The one factor which is lacking is honesty and transparency. Let the residents know the truth and no one will object and if the real intention is to renovate than by all means but please dont con the people-those days are gone. Dato' A. Nelson

I am in full support for development,those that shun this must be the petty traders and not the real Ttdi homemakers such my good self and thousands like me.All we want is progress.A natural instinct
For humans alike not petty traders who act as Ttdi residents but want to benefit themselves.

I do NOT agree as under BN there is so much corruption as compared to Tungku, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein's priemership era and misgovernment and the New Economic Policy meant to benefit the poor and deserving Malay brothers of mine have been abused and hijacked by a small section of the population and its cronies. An example of this misgovernance is the proliferation of rent seekers and double increase of costs for a public project, and most if not all contracts for public works or the benefit of the public and paid for by taxpayers' money are seldom tendered out.
As of today, this country reeks of a foul smell of corruption and irresponsibility. Not only that the civil service, the police and the judiciary are UMNOnised and race relations are generated by the politicians to line their pockets and preserve their illgotten gains are so bad that the Home Ministry and the police and the AG's office are not taking serious action against those who made defamatory race statements. All this are reported in the main stream papers. If such things were to happen during Tun Dr. Ismail's time, the culprit would be charged at once.

And under the Tunku, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein and Tun Dr. Ismail's time there is NO such thing as business and politics mixing together. How is it that UMNO is so so so rich today as compared with the early period of our country's foundation? Those days, MCA has to donate money to UMNO for its building. Now?
So under such an atmosphere, frankly I do not trust any one except
GOD. So you see the rotten state we are in today.

Of course we like to see the initial plans and not words only. Please ask the Mayor and the Minister to have a real dialogue with the residents and especially the market traders before they even make pronouncements.Lets be fair why are so few speaking about the modern market when nothing has been said all the time. Suddenly out springs the idea of a new market withe MRT thrown in and whoever gave the idea of a 24 hour market and how does it really benefit the residents. This is the only market around here and it is used by people even from Bangsar, DU, Damansara Kim, and elsewhere. Improve the present one by all means but please CONSULT. From A. Nelson.

My apologies for the late reply. Taman Rimba Kiara is located behind the VADS building. Enter through the main gate at left. There are ample car parking space during weekends. Just follow the tarred road or rubberized tracks within the park. If you intend to do bird watching it's best to bring along a pair of binoculars.TQ.

After five whole days and no official reply from any of the TTDI RA comittee, i wonder why? Not going as planned huh? Well it's too late now. The silence is enough for us to know that we've hit the right spot and there's no way to exonerate your good selves from this mess. Save what dignity that is left and make way for new "representatives" (you people seem to have lost focus on who you're suppose to be representing, which is the RESIDENTS in case you're still clueless).

sounds like they're going on the 'lets optimize profit from ttdi land'. if so then whatever so called 'discussion' will have to include that objective somehow. and TTDI-RA's proposal seems to be trying to accomodate that too if they propose anything more than the neccesary works around the existing building.

he totally lost the plot (i guess they never had it) as our mayor who fail to recognize what should be his priority in maintaining our community facility without looking at profits.

There's another column stated " The matter was further aggravated when the TTDI Residents Association (RA) told MTA chairman Jenny Loo that traders would be at the losing end if they did not agree to the proposed redevelopment plan and that DBKL had every right to ask the traders to leave since the market belonged to the City Hall.Loo was asked to say yes to the plan but she refused stating that the traders had not given their consent and would prefer to view the proposed redevelopment plan first.The TTDI RA had sent an e-mail to the residents asking them to give their votes on the modernisation plan of the market." Really puzzled this time. Maybe nobody realize that this is not the first time to happen in TTDI market. The parking case handled by the association for so long was grabbed n given tender to outsider queitly without even a word and perhaps they wanna do the same style this time.
Questions 1. Why RA is handling this matter seriouslywith the Mayor n urge the trader to agree with the proposal???. Any secrets between them? The RA should stand n give a moral support to the traders - not demolish the building...!
2. The MRT rep has confirmed that everything has been confirmed and they are not touching the market at all.
3. After the demostration by the market traders why keeping quiet till now. Be a gentlement and have a face to face discussion with them. They are also human being who own a living like all of us.
4. Temporarily move infront of sinaran..well what a lie.? There will be a development there for a new aprtment very soon and they will start opening booking by Jan. So roughly by May/Jun perhaps the parking will be closed. So what happen to the traders? Poor traders being cheated just like that?
5. Why now dirty, smelly, unfriendly etc etc etc....are u challenging the ineffiency of the mayor? Then do something about it...Even a single broken tile would take so long to repair.
6. No heritage value...maybe not now but somehow this will be one n the onlymarket that our children can appreciate as a modern market one day.
7. Lastly....ok..rebuild the market.The traders will definitely be charged with the higher rate set by the mayor....ie rm3K per month or more....conclusion? GULONG TIKAR LAH!!!! So who gets the benefit...???

Note that he mentioned that there is no letter of intent yet and all stakeholders will be consulted. However, in the same statement, he also said that they are still studying the proposal?? Why are they studying the proposal behind closed doors?? Shouldnt he be discussing with the stakeholders?? He's probably going to just inform the stakeholders as to his decision which left unchecked, will be irreconcilable with reasoning such as "We have already sold the land to a private entity and by law we have no say in how they are going to develop it." Seen this happen too many times in other parts of KL but no way we're letting it happen in TTDI again.

What we need is a new government that will allow us, the Rakyat, to hold local council elections, so that we can vote in those councillors who have the Rakyat's best interests at heart, and not some government mouthpiece who rubber-stamps everything that the govt. proposes, even if it reeks of less than savoury intentions.

I don't trust the purpose behind this poll.

What can I say .. 1st they say builds MRT station then they say service apartment again they change it to service apartment with MRT .. Now you tell me new modern market ? 60million piece of land is really very tempting till ppl have all sorts of idea to develops with all sorts of reason . I guess probably when the develop start it can be 6 month to 6 years of probably a half way project . Can you guarantee every tenant ca n survive b4 this project is finish .. Talk is easy but when it come to do .. That is probably nothing happen at all . Fix what is spoil . Clean what is dirty . Don't just think of demolish . As said want modern .. go to the mall .. Market is market .. Is benefits to all not just resident but everyone .

It seems to me RATTDI has a stake in this project putting up this poll and dictating all these terms when nothing official has yet to come from DBKL and yet RATTDI seems to know it all already? How come?
