I am Christopher, founder & Coordinator of D' Happpy Club ( activity center for seniors).Are you interested to team up for some programs/activities?We are able to provide activities like outing / trips/ Health Talks etc for your RA. We are presently partnership with Malaysia Menopause Society in organising activities for thier members. If possible ,we can also set up an activity center in your area. Chairman's statement:
Status on the MRT
The residents of TTDI fully support the MRT which will help alleviate transport
woes in the area and vicinity. However, the stations and rail-tracks must not
create further traffic havoc during and after contruction.
After several meetings by the MRT Study group, the originally proposed One
Utama station which was supposed to be located on the vacant land at Jln
Burhanuddin Helmi (at the intersection of TTDI and OU) is now relocated to TV3.
Thanks to the hard work by the team. (See attached drawings).
The next station however, is located at the side of TTDI Bomba. This will be
built over the ever congested Jln Damansara and access from Damansara Kim as
well. (See attached drawings).
We strongly urge the government to reconsider constructing the MRT underground.
TTDI, BU, Damansara Kim and Mutiara Damansra are developed areas; with
commercial and residential buildings in place. Having tracks elevated will
cause traffic congestion and also dissatisfaction among the residents living
close to the MRT lines. Underground tracks may cost 3 or 4 times more but the
benefits in the long term will justify the cost.
A joint RA meeting on Monday, 28 February 2011 has agreed to start a
petition drive for an underground track.

Here's your chance to walk the talk. Jalan Datuk Sulaiman 1 would be holding a protest against an illegal connection by a developer. The protest is near the guarded entrance to TTDI Hills at 11 morning this Sunday, 13 March.

I thank you for your very kind words expressed. My late wife was very much concerned about the deteriorating state of affairs in TTDI and wanted very much to do her bit to try and right things. In that way she was a very community-oriented person and my involvement in the RA was due very much to her influence.
On her behalf and my own I thank the RA for having given us the opportunity to serve.

I am not selling my house at any price. Also, you must believe me that I have gone to Bangsar LRT (which there is a SPAD display) many times to query/protest/etc and make my opinion known about the house acquisitions. (My opinion is to do the MRT underground or overground - but not to do any house acquisition in TTDI if there is a need to put a MRT here), Hope I have managed to convince you & other fence sitters.

Good, the TTDI fence-sitters are more inclined to support any effort to help our fellow neighbours at Jalan Pinggir Zaaba to keep their homes. Your first statement sounded like you were ready to sell but at a very high price instead of fighting to keep your home. That is why we fence-sitters are very wary on whether our support would be used to wring a higher compensation price from the government instead of actually retaining the houses.

I never speculate on properties at all. I just buy & live in TTDI. I bought my house about 15 years ago. Other people speculate - not me.

Pro-MRT or not - no one like to lose their house that they bought years ago.

If you support the MRT, then chances are greater. Simple as that!

People like you is why the land acquisition law exists; to stop rich man's profiteering at the expense of the poor man on the street taxpayers money. The difference in the house costing is because of the property speculation.

The more you make derogatory remarks talking like a spoilt brat, the more your group will lose support and could even spur others to support the pro-MRT side because you offend everybody else.

in fact chow kit road won't be suitable for you. take your rm450k to tanjong rambutan would be more appropriate - i think!

no i won't !!! in fact, if the govt want to buy me out, then i'll be the first to stand up and say YES... give me the money, and i'll move somewhere else no problem... at the moment, with all the media attention i'd be lucky to even get an offer from a buyer (even if i posted on iproperty)... so YES to govt pay me money and demolish my TTDI house... HAH !!!

I read the buffer zone is only 20 metres. For everyone's information, the current world record for long jump is almost 9 meteres.

Also read in the EIA that in many locations, the noise level currently already exceeds recommended levels, implying, hence, that is OK to build.
Reminder 1+1=2 not 1+1=1. Know you math! The MRT is going to exacerbate the already noisy ares.
